20 year old Christian singer Jamie Grace, battles Tourette’s syndrome, earns first Grammy nomination for ‘Hold Me’
Jamie Grace is a 20 year old college student who aside from her career as an actress, singer and songwriter, is also studying children’s ministry. Grace currently resides in Atlanta, GA, with her parents, both of whom are pastors at Kingdom City Center in Atlanta.
At age 11, Jamie Grace was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. Tourette Syndrome is a disorder characterized by tics- involuntary, rapid, sudden movements and/or vocal outbursts that occur repeatedly.
Jamie was eventually homeschooled by her mother and manager, Mona Harper, as she had began to get really sick from the medication she took to help her keep the symptoms of the disorder under control.
Grace began to use music as a way to relieve her from the daily stress over her condition. She not only sings but plays the acoustic guitar, banjo, piano and ukulele.
Jamie Grace now travels the country sharing her story and faith through music and speaking. Her goal is to help families with children who are diagnosed with attention deficit hyeractivity disorder (ADHD) and Tourette’s syndrome. She already has her own non-profit mentoring program named GraceTalk.
Signed to the TobyMac-founded label, Gotee Records, early last year Grace released her hit song, “Hold Me”. A year later, the self-written hit single is nominated for best contemporary Christian music song.

Isaac Carree’s, hit single “In The Middle” still holds strong in Number One spot on Billboard Gospel Chart!
One could say that, gospel artist Isaac Carree wears many hats. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, actor, and most importantly, husband and father.
His song “In the Middle” off of his first solo album, currently holds the number one spot on the Billboard Chart for Best Gospel Song, beating out James Fortune & Fiya’s “Still Able”, and Earnest Pugh’s “I Need Your Glory”.
Also note that “In the Middle” has been sitting comfortably in that number one spot on the Billboard Gospel Song chart since the week of December 31, 2011. In the Middle has quickly grown to be a favorite among gospel music lovers.
Carree’s latest album, which is his first solo album, entitled “Uncommon Me”, released in August 2011 still places among the top ten albums on the current Billboard chart.
So who is Isaac Carree?
Well many people don’t know that Carree has actually been in the gospel music scene for quite a while. He has performed with the likes of Kirk Franklin and Michelle Williams, to name a few.
Carree grew up in North Carolina where he began singing solos in church at a young age. His mother, Pastor Nancy Wilson, currently serves as head pastor at New Beginnings Community Outreach Church in Greensboro, North Carolina.
By shining in the light of gospel music at an early age, it comes as no surprise that Carree would eventually began singing with John P.Kee’s V.I.P choir. Carree later left the V.I.P Choir to form a quartet, named Men of Standard (formed in 1996), alongside Michael Bacon, Bryan Pierce, and Lowell Pye.
During their time together as a quartet, the group produced four albums, Men of Standard (1996), Feels Like Rain (1999), Vol. III (2002) and It’s A New Day (2004). The group garnered two Stellar awards in 2000 from Feels Like Rain.
Bacon would eventually leave the group (in 2005) to pursue other goals, however, the trio continued on with the release of Surrounded in 2006, with the hit single “I Will”.
Carree currently resides in Atlanta, GA, with his wife, Dietra, of eight years. The couple has two children, a son, Isaac IV, and daughter, Alaina.
2011 was definitely a great year for Carree, and from the looks of things 2012 will be even better! We wish him the best of luck!
