McDonald’s Annual Gospelfest 2010 makes its return to Newark this coming June. The lineup includes Hezekiah Walker, Vickie Winans, Regina Belle, Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers, Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson, Dionne Warwick, Cissy Houston, J Moss, and Bishop T.D Jakes. Radio One, held their 8th Annual WYCB Prayer Breakfast this past Saturday for the DMV area at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Maryland. The sold out event was hosted by WYCB Radio’s Winston Chaney, who you may remember seeing pics last week I posted from the Yolanda Adams Health and Wellness Tour. Needless to say, they are keeping a brother busy!! Anyway, he was joined by radio personalities, Cheryl Jackson, Angel Carpenter, and Stellar Award Winner for Radio Host of the Year, Lonnie Hunter. But wait that is not all..
The keynote speaker was none other than, the awesome, Bishop Elect Lyle Dukes of Harvest Life Changers Church. Dr. Charlene Monk of New Horizon Christian Faith Church blessed the pastors with a special prayer, Pastor Larry Jordan of Maple Springs Baptist Church gave an awesome breakfast blessing, and the wonderful Vickie Winans performed two selections, including her upcoming new single release “Release it” (which she will be shooting a video for real soon so make sure you check it out).
Vickie Winans acknowledged to us that she and her family are currently in the midst of a storm, so please lift this anointed woman of God up in your prayers. But despite what she was going through at the time, she gave a stellar performance and was absolutely hilarious!! She literally had the audience in tears from laughter!! Definitely a GospelMagnet favorite!! Also, Marcus D. Wiley from the Yolanda Adams Morning Show was in attendance. Check out a list of pastors that were honored and some pictures from the event below.

Vickie Winans appeared on BET’s Monique Show last night. Winans, the seventh of twelve children, truly showed why she has been in the business so long. She was in good spirits and appeared to be happy with her recent projects. She sung “Dance Until the Walls Come Down” off her most recent album How I Got Over. And boy did she dance on that stage!!! She definitely still got IT!!! This got me to thinking about an earlier performance by Winans of “Safe in his arms” that was out of this world!! Check it out!!
